01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Sean is a 2022 OF who showcased his skills during the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American Tournament. In the outfield, he works from right to left, with quick/fluid footwork, and showed ability to close distance on batted balls. He fields from an athletic/low fielding position with soft hands out front. A loose arm stroke in the back as he works to an over-the-top arm slot coming forward. Throws were accurate into infield, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 80mph. At the plate, this right-handed hitter hits from an athletic and open stance. Quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. Gets his back through and showed some quickness to his hands. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 71mph. During the games, he reached base multiple times and showed good plate discipline. With another year of continued growth and development, we foresee Sean making huge strides on the baseball field.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Sean is an energetic and engaged OF that graduates in 2022. In the OF, Sean shows athletic and effective footwork working behind the ball as he fields it taking good routes to the ball. He presents a confident glove as he fields making clean exchanges as he works to throw, getting rid of the ball quickly and delivering the throw with strength. Hitting, Sean sets up in a tall and open stance and works hard to be on time with the pitcher. He shows good sequencing firing his hips first and rotating his core well showing a strong line drive approach. Sean has solid athletic foundations that will allow him to continue to grow and develop.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Sean is a coachable OF prospect who continued to work hard on his skills during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Sean covers ground well and gets into a square position, fielding the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws consistent to his target. Sean can improve defensively by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and gets into his load well. He maintains center balance and makes consistent contact to all fields. Sean can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. With four more years to develop, Sean has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

03/25/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Harmony (Pittsburgh), PA Sean is a young, athletic, 2-way player who plays OF and SS. In the OF, Sean has fluid/efficient footwork, agile movements, and he fields in a low/athletic position. He reads the ball off the bat well, plays through, and throws with accuracy from a loose arm action to his target. At SS, Sean has active feet, he fields athletically, and he throws with accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, Sean has a square/athletic set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He has a short/direct barrel to the ball and makes consistent contact. Sean can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Outfield
1. Work behind quicker
2. Long toss
3. Play more through
Infield
1. Backhand
2. Play through
3. Release
Offense
1. Load
2. Lower body

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
