01/17/2014 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sean is a slender infielder that looks to compete on every pitch. At SS, he attacks ground balls with his feet, plays through, and has a quick exchange to get the ball to his target quickly. Sean tends to field the ball deep and on his heels, and could improve defensive grades by fielding the ball more out front and on his toes. At the plate, Sean has good balance and barrel accuracy. Hitting grades will improve by utilizing his lower half more and loading his hands straight back, rather than dropping them. Sean has room to develop and add strength, and is best suited for 2B at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
