12/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Sean is a coachable player who worked very hard on his skills during his time at Pirate City. At the plate, this RHH steps into the box looking to swing it. He works to get into a loaded position, takes an aggressive hack and squares the ball up consistently (going 3 for 5 with 3 singles at the event). At 2B, he shows active prep footwork and hustles around the GB into a square & athletic fielding position. He shows some lateral range, makes the plays with soft hands and has a clean exchange to throw. Working to present his glove more out in front along with playing through the ball more will help to improve his skills in the INF. Sean has a solid all-around skill-set that will continue to progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
