12/27/2015 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Webster is a 2018 grad that displayed many positive attributes at the UARC. Defensively, Sean showed sure hands, a quick transfer, and good footwork around the bag on double plays. Webster's arm stroke fits at 2B and he could work to create better hops for himself with more active feet. At the plate, Sean showed a square stride and load complex with the hands properly activated and quality hip action to trigger the lower half. There is extension through the baseball after contact and rotation with the core and keeping the bat angled on the load will allow for greater bat whip through zone for increased pop. Sean's versatility will be an asset and his hard-working, coachable mentality will allow him to get the most out of his game.

11/01/2015 - College PREP - Wilsonville (Portland), OR Sean is a lean 2B/OF with a strong lower half that will graduate in 2018. At 2B, he moves well laterally and works to square balls up, display. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process with defensive grade improving as he presents glove more out front. He utilizes his feet well in the OF in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hands are loose and works through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, as he works to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power numbers will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. With 3 years to further develop, Sean has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
