01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sebastian is a talented OF/RHP in the 2023 class. In the field, he has active feet and agile movements. He opens his hips well and gains ground with proper routes and angles. Fields in an athletic position and presents a clean pocket and exchange. Displays loose arm action from a ¾ slot. Arms plays at 89 velo and working to throw the top of the baseball will improve accuracy. At the plate, He begins in a squared position and uses a short stride. Timing is fluid and shows a level path through the zone. Creates hard contact (83 exit velo) and can use both gaps. He did not pitch due to rain at day 2 of the event. Overall, Sebastian is a next level player and can help a college program next year.

12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Sebastian continues show as a prospect with improvements his baseball abilities at the Academic All-American showcase. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential is now well above average through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half work well through the swing and he maintains balance. On the mound, Fastball shows a range of 82-85 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late / sharp break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. He shows good mound presence and competes on the bump.

11/07/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Houston, TX Sebastian is a physical RHP/3B in the 2023 class out of Texas. At 3B, he displayed the ability to make the routine play and work through the baseball while presenting the glove early and making clean exchanges with accurate throws to his target. At the plate, he uses an open stance with a short stride to get to balance and make consistent contact with barrel control to all fields. On the mound, he threw from the stretch with easy/simple mechanics which allowed him to repeat and throw strikes with control. He threw his best fastball to date off the mound topping out at 85 mph. Sebastian is a solid prospect and has continued to improve as a player every time we have seen him which is a testament to his hard work.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Sebastian continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 82 mph. FB ranges from 78-82 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break and shows as a quality pitch. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

06/14/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Rosemont (Chicago), IL Sebastian continues to show improvements in his abilities on the mound. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Fastball shows tailing action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a feel for the pitch with arm side run and sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. He is aggressive as he attacks balls through a level swing path. Hands are quick and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Sebastian shined once again at the Winter Classic. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up but needs to attack, playing through more with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he showed an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 63-68 mph. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

08/27/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Glendale (Milwaukee), WI Sebastian is a 3B/RHP who will graduate in 2022. Defensively at 3B, he shows athletic actions with active footwork and takes smart angles to the baseball. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes on-line throws to his target. On the hill, this righty drives his lower 1/2 off of the rubber. He delivers a FB and CH from a hi 3/4 arm slot and finishes with extension. At the plate, Sebastian displays an athletic setup with smooth rhythm. He swings on a direct path through the zone and stays balanced as he barrels up pitches in the zone. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
