10/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Best of The West - Upperclass Sena is a solid, athletic LHP who is a top prospect and showcased his abilities at the Best of the West tournament. On the mound, he shows a controlled, repeatable delivery allowing his quick arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength is at a pro level as indicated by his top velocity of 90 mph. Fastball showed a range of 87-90 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with late, sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a feel for pitch with tailing action. Off speed stuff show as outstanding pitches that will get outs. Control is excellent as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. He shows a great feel for pitching and maintains composure on the bump. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. Sena has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his abilities on the mound.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
