03/08/2020 - College PREP - Fresno, CA It's been six months since we saw Seth last, and his 6'1/160 lbs athletic frame continues to impress on both sides of the baseball. Athletically, we saw improvements to almost all measurables, most notably his 60-yard dash time - dropping .4 seconds to 7.3 - and his broad jump - now at 8' from 7'6. This proves some explosiveness and agility improvement away from the baseball that will surely continue to translate on the diamond. On the bump, his FB had good tail, his breaking ball had good 11/5 shape and was thrown for a high volume of strikes, and his CH continued to show good run with FB arm speed. He had clean mechanics and kept his eyes on the target to showing greater feel with control and delivery. Continued use of his lower half in his delivery will boost velocity and overall efficiency. In the OF, he was efficient with his footwork, getting behind and playing through the ball with good direction and momentum to throw. His angles/ routes were clean and aggressive and he has good upside with his frame out there. At the plate, he works from an open stance and generates fast bat speed to make consistently hard contact. He maintains a line-drive approach, spraying the ball to all fields and will continue to show progress as he strengthens and matures. In all - it's great seeing a player come back out after an off-season of preparation with greater athletic measurables - showing an upward trend of growth and a certain level of dedication needed to have success in this game.
