06/14/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Seth is solid SS/RHP and has a tremendous future on the diamond with the makings of a special type player at the next level. At the plate, hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line with gap-to-gap pop. Defensively, he takes a quick first steps (6.80 60 time) and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip (93 mph velocity) on his throws. Defensive abilities are superior as he has big play potential. On the mound, delivery is sound/repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Arm strength is at a pro level as indicated by his top velocity of 93 mph. Fastball shows a range of 90-93 mph with arm side run/sink on a downhill plane. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, displaying a feel for the pitch with sinking action. Command/control are well above average as he locates well to both sides of the plate. Seth will get looks from pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
