06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Seth is an OF who graduated in 2021. Medium frame athletic build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. In the OF, showed ability to cover ground with active/efficient feet. Good reads off the bat enable to take proper routes to balls. Fields from a low and athletic fielding position. Attacks balls and works behind with a clean transfer into a 3/4 release point. Good carry on his throws and an arm velocity of 86mph into the infield. Hits from the right side from an upright and even stance. Solid base with a controlled load who makes hard contact. Rotates hips into a firm front side with a fast bat through the zone. Direct bat path with strength at contact. Attacks the baseball with ability to backspin balls into both gaps. In live game action, Seth reached base 5 times with a double and a bat exit velocity of 87mph. With continued development, he should have opportunities to play at the next level.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Seth continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his quick feet, covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line zip to his target. At the plate he continues shine through athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap to gap pop.

09/12/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - TX (HS) Seth continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. In the OF, defensive abilities are now outstanding as he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers ground. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) to his target.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Seth continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.22 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry (84 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

02/24/2019 - College PREP - West, TX Seth showed well at both positions during his last workout with The Factory. He was timed at 7.25 in the 60 yard dash which was his lowest time to date. In the OF, Seth has athletic actions, he gets in a good ready position, and covers ground well. He has soft hands, creates a good fielding angle, and stays behind the ball well; throwing with accuracy from a quick arm to his cut off man. At SS, Seth has quick footwork, he fields low, in a square position, and his hands are soft. He fields smoothly, flashes a good backhand, and throws accurately across the diamond. At the plate, Seth has a square/athletic set-up, quick hands, and good balance. He has fast bat speed, hits hard to the pull side, and uses his lower body. He will need to let the ball travel deeper, stay short, and work on timing for hitting to further improve.

10/07/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Georgetown, TX Seth continues to shine on the diamond as he continues to show improvements in his baseball tools. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.39 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. At SS, feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turn of the double play. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with zip across the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and aggressive as he attacks balls in the zone. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Seth is a young, very athletic prospect who continues to improve his game and always plays hard. He can go get it in the outfield as he shows feel for the position to be in the right spots and a pre-pitch routine to be ready for any ball hit his way. His footwork is active and he is aggressive working to the ball to get behind it and play through. He presents his hands to field and has a quick, clean exchange to make accurate throws. At the dish, he loads to a powerful position and has strong hands through the zone. His hand eye coordination allows him to take the barrel to the ball and make solid contact to all fields for base hits. Getting his foot down earlier will help timing and his ability to gear up for the fastball. Seth is a solid player who has lots of potential on the field.

02/25/2018 - National Tryout Plus - West, TX Seth is a compact, strong prospect with valuable positional versatility. He can really track it down in the outfield with huge range to get to everything around him. He uses athleticism and fluid footwork along with quick reads to get to the ball and play through. He stays behind with momentum to make accurate throws to his target. At short, he gets to the ball in the hole and up the middle ad shows a strong arm to make long throws. At the dish, he shows bat to ball skills and can deliver the barrel to make hard contact. He has an activated lower half and can spray the ball to all fields. Shortening his swing path will allow him to cover the whole strike zone. Seth is a talented prospect with plenty of potential on the field.

01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Seth continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays fluid / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range will continue to improve as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit to get on a long toss program to aid in building more arm strength. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/22/2017 - College PREP - Conroe (Houston), TX Seth is a lean OF/SS who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. In the MIF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but needs to play through more with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he improves foot quickness. With 4 years to further develop, Seth has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
