02/25/2018 - College PREP - West, TX Seth is a lean, athletic SS prospect who can get it done all over the field. He is an elite athlete with blazing speed (6.68 60 time) that elevates his game to the next level. At the dish, he has both bat to ball ability, delivering the barrel consistently, and pop to drive the ball for extra bases. His swing is smooth with fast bat speed on a direct, level path to smoke line drives to all fields. At short, he can pick it on both sides and has great range in the hole and up the middle with the arm to make all the plays. He turn the DP quickly with fast hands and a clean exchange. Continuing to improve arm strength will make him an elite defender. Seth is an exciting prospect with a bright future.

08/03/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Seth showed as a hard working player who is very coachable and is a great team player. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and squares up well with his body. He shows off his athletic ability on his turns / feeds of the double play. Presenting glove more out front will aid in improving defensive abilities. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path and aggressive approach. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 7.

02/28/2016 - College PREP - Waco, TX Seth is a switch hitting SS who can pick it. Defensively, he shows active prep footwork and maintains good body control working fluidly around the GB from right to left. He secures the ball with soft/sure hands, funnels smoothly and has a clean exchange to throw. At the plate, he currently shows slightly more natural from the left side. He gets loaded and maintains good balance. Swing is level as he connects and hits hard line-drives when centered. Finishing with more extension will help to increase power at the plate. Seth is a talented MIF who has a very bright future ahead of him in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
