06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Seth is a MIF prospect who showcased his skills during the All-State Tournament. In the field, Seth shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and maintains center balance. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud line drives. Overall, Seth is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Seth is a 2024 2B. Medium frame with some strength to the build but plenty of room to fill out. Primary second baseman, has an aggressive approach to the ball and works to square it out front. Quick exchange and a high funnel to a low 3/4 arm slot. Arm fits position currently but can project with more arm strength. Right-handed hitter, sets up with open and comfortable stance. Small leg kick who works short and direct to the ball. All fields approach who shows some looseness in the wrists that allow him to adjust the barrel head and will improve results off impact as he adds strength and incorporates more of the lower half. Four years of continued growth and development will bode well for his career at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
