07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Shaun continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.13 runner. At the plate, power potential is now well above average through a tall setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a plus feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. At 1B, he displays smooth fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he and displays proper foot work around the bag. Glove action is soft, presents well out front and consistently shows the ability to pick balls out of the dirt. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy to his throws but he will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable, and plays the game hard.
