06/12/2013 - Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One Florida Schimming ran 6.71 in the 60 yard dash, and posted times between 4.20 and 4.31 down the line from the right side of the plate. He showed as a much different player from workout to game. In workouts he didn't appear to go as hard, but when the game started he showed an entirely different gear. In the OF, he moved easily to the ball and his actions were fluid. It didn't look like he really ever cut it loose, and his throws had tail action the target after a couple of extra steps to get rid of the ball. At the plate, he featured rhythm to hit and a balanced approach. His stroke was simple and easy in BP and in game at bats, but in game at bats he showed bat speed and life in his swing that wasn't there in BP. He handled the wood bat with no problem, most notably on a solid single to right field - where he generated easy bat speed and the ball came off the bat very well. He is a talented and athletic player, and it appears the game comes to him very easily.
