12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Shooter is a hard working 2-way prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week. At SS, Shooter has a 2 handed exchange, he has a strong arm, and makes accurate throws. He needs to continue to be on time with his prep step and play through the ball. At the plate, Shooter starts in a squared and open stance. He keeps the barrel on plane and is a contact hitter. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and create backside rotation. On the bump, Shooter has a simple delivery, he has good direction, and he commands his fastball. His breaking ball has a medium break and he throws his changeup down in the zone. Shooter will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/07/2019 - Baseball Factory Cleveland All Star Experience (Ages 12-14) Shooter is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Cleveland All Star Experience. In the field, Shooter takes a good first step and fields in an athletic position. He gains momentum well on his throws and keeps them accurate to his target. He needs to continue to have a rhythm in his hands, attack the inside part of the ball, and create backside drive with his lower half. He needs to continue to gather over the rubber, separates on time, and ride his back leg toward the plate. Shooter has a good baseball IQ and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
