09/12/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Skylar is a RHP who will graduate in 2022. Tall frame lean build and room to add more strength. A right-handed pitcher who works at the bottom of the zone and shows a good glove tuck. Throws all 4 pitches from the same window. Works off of a FB that topped out at 79mph, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with medium break, a slider he throws from the same window as CB, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed that has good movement through zone. CH was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, this right-handed hitter sets up with an even and upright stance. Opposite field approach with ability to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph during his round of BP. With another year of development, we foresee Skylar having having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
