09/21/2014 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Skyler is a talented 2-way player (OF/LHP) who has a projectable frame. In the OF, this speedster can cover some ground (6.65 60 yard dash). A quick first step with solid routes/angles - there's not much that will get by him. He has a clean exchange and strong arm, firing the ball into his target. With the bat, this LHH is a top of the line-up type of guy. He will square the ball up and get out of the box, putting pressure on the defense. On the bump, Skyler has 3 effective pitches and mixes well. FB cracks the mitt at 84 mph with late tail. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape with gradual break. Changeup has tail and shows as a good out pitch. Fuller has skills that will garner attention from the college coaches.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
