01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Spencer continues to shine every time that he steps onto the diamond. With the bat, this lefty steps into the box with a purpose and looks to take a hack. He has an athletic/open stance with centered balance and loose hands. He gets back to a strong launch position, fires the barrel with speed and squares the ball up with some pop, using the whole field. He has a great eye for the zone as he was patient and drew 4 walks at the event. Behind the dish, Six sits in well with athletic actions and good sway. He sticks pitches in the zone, framing well. Throws to 2B are on the bag coming from a clean/quick transfer. This talented catching prospect (2020 grad) is one to keep an eye on as he enters his junior season.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Continuing to impress behind the plate, Spencer is a strong 2020 Catching prospect. Shows good bat control at the plate, he is very balanced, works with good rhythm and uses a strong lower half very well to hit baseballs hard. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
