12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Stacy is a coachable RHP/SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Under Armour Recruiting Classic. On the mound, Stacy starts with a small rock step and gathers to a balance point over the rubber. He separates his hands on time and works with a clean arm, staying inline towards the plate. Stacy shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 82mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 61-67mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 58-62mph with arm side run. Stacy can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to continue building up his arm strength. In the field, Stacy fields in a square position and makes the routine plays. Increasing his lateral range can help Stacy improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He hits from a strong front side and produces loud contact to all fields. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Stacy improve as a hitter. Overall, Stacy is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/02/2018 - College PREP - San Francisco, CA Stacy is a lean RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point and works in line to his target. Fastball showed a range of 76-80 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed and shows a feel for pitch with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball and goes the other way well through a line drive approach. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. With 3 years to further develop, Stacy has a big upside on the diamond and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
