09/19/2021 - All-In Membership - San Bernardino, CA Stevie is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with some strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At SS, shows fluid footwork and good body control at the baseball. He shows ability to cover ground and fields from a low fielding position with a low funnel. Has a clean exchange, with a short arm, and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Made consistent throws, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 68mph across diamond. On the mound, he has a good mound presence with simple/repeatable delivery. He gathers over the rubber, with a good balance position, and works with good direction to plate. Does a good job of using his whole body in his pitching motion. He throws a FB that sits 62-65mph with some movement, a CB with 11/5 shape with good depth, a slider from the same window, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed that has good downward movement. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and closed stance. Takes an aggressive swing and tracks pitches well. During his round of BP, he hit balls to pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 67mph. With continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with good extension, leading to solid contact to all fields. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
