02/07/2016 - College PREP - Tomball (Houston), TX Steyios continues to develop on the diamond. In the OF, he is aggressive and covers ground to his right and left with speed ( running his 60 in 7.02). He works behind and through the ball aggressively, gaining ground toward his target. Offensively, this righty shows a square setup with rhythm to load. He squares the ball up and sprays it to all parts of the field. On the mound, this lefty works the zone with his 3-pitch mix. FB still sits at 68 mph as he attacks the zone. Breaking ball shows 1/7 shape with early break. More glove-side lead/tuck and more drive downhill off of the rubber will help to tap into some added velo on his FB.

12/13/2015 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Steyious is a RHH 2-way player as an OF/LHP. In the OF, he has quick footwork and puts his athleticism on display, moving well covering ground in the gaps. He works into position behind the ball, secures it with 2-hands and has a smooth transfer/exchange to throw. Offensively, Michalis has an athletic/balanced setup with rhythm to load. Swing is short/compact to and through the ball as he connects and drives the ball on a line. Even more power potential is there with more use of his lower 1/2. Steyious has tools and should find success in this his senior year.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
