02/21/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Sullivan continues to show as a prospect with improvements in all his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.96 runner. At the plate, hitting/power potential have improved, now showing outstanding abilities through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At SS, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the MIF. Hands/feet work well together with accuracy/carry (86 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 82 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late/sharp break and shows as a quality pitch. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Sullivan has big upside and will get looks from collegiate coaches, possibly as a two-way guy.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Sullivan is an athletic SS prospect who showcased his skills during the Opening Day Classic. In the field, Sullivan shows great agility and makes the routine plays. His exchange is clean and he makes strong/accurate throws across the diamond. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Sullivan field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with comfortable hands. He rotates his core through well and produces solid line drives. Sullivan can create more consistent contact by working a more controlled load into his swing. Overall, Sullivan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/03/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Lynwood (Chicago), IL Sullivan is a young (2023 grad) 2-way player as a SS/RHP. With the bat, this RHH displays an athletic stance with centered balance. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and will pull it with some pop. At SS, he shows active footwork and is aggressive to come and get the GB. He funnels smoothly and plays through it well. On the mound, Minor has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a loose/free arm action. He works tall and drives downhill, repeating his delivery well. FB ranges from 62-64 mph while showing some run. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape as he works to keep it down in the zone. Continuing to work on the following will help to improve his all-around skill-set on the diamond.

Offense
1. Contact points
2. Let ball travel
3. Lower 1/2 drive
Defense
1. Lower fielding position
2. Glove presentation
3. Play through the ball
Pitching

2. Off-speed
3. Finish with extension

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
