07/24/2011 - Team One Northeast 2011 TJ is a solid, athletic 3rd baseman who will graduate in 2012. Defensively, TJ is an aggressive player who presents his glove well. He has hands and footwork, he makes plays, and he keeps the ball in front. TJ has a quick / clean exchange, and he throws with accuracy and carry across the diamond. Playing more through the ball and adding arm strength will only help defensive numbers get even better. At the plate, TJ has a good set-up, proper balance, and quick hands. He has good bat speed and barrel accuracy, and he keeps his hands inside the ball. TJ can spray the ball to all fields and he has good pop in his bat. Driving the away pitch and staying short to the ball can help improve already solid offensive numbers.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
