10/13/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Tai is a lean, athletic, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. In the OF, Tai has quick feet, a presentable glove, and he moves with good agility to the baseball. He reads it well off the bat, makes plays consistently, and throws with accuracy and momentum to his cut off man. On the mound, Tai has good balance and a loose arm circle. He keeps his eyes on target, has a controlled landing toward home, and competes in the zone. At the plate, Tai has a square/athletic set-up, a short stride, and he swings aggressively. He has a direct barrel, swings on plane, and can work the ball gap to gap. Overall skills can get even better with work on the following.

Outfield
1. Arm strength
2. Work behind sooner
Pitching
1. Finish
2. Separation
3. Lower body
Offense
1. Leg kick
2. Contact points

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
