06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Tanner is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Omaha National World Series. In the field, Tanner shows efficient footwork and works behind the ball well. He gets into position on time and fields with sure hands. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Making a quicker exchange can help Tanner improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He gets into a small load and drives through well with his lower half. He produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Tanner can improve as a hitter by taking a more level swing path. Overall, Tanner is a solid prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.
