10/01/2017 - College PREP - Parker (Denver), CO Tanner is a tall, lean two-way prospect who shows encouraging skills all over the field. Hon the mound, he has good feel for an 11-5 curveball with good depth that has the makings of a plus offering as he continues to improve. He works on a downhill plane to the hitter, making it hard for the, to make solid contact on any offering. His mechanics are clean and repeatable, which allows him to get to a consistent release point and show control for all three pitches to both the glove and arm side. At short, this prospect shows athleticism and fluid actions to cover the position with ease and has the soft, fast hands needed to field and get rid of the ball quickly. He shows efficient feet and quick release to make accurate feeds and throws. A long toss program would improve arm strength and make him a complete defender. At the dish, he displays an all-fields approach with the unique ability to keep his hands inside the ball to drive it back where it's pitched. His actions are smooth to load and stride, launching a fast bat through the zone on a direct path to barrel the ball consistently. Tanner is an exciting, young prospect who has a bright future in the game.
