04/05/2009 - College PREP - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Tanner is a young middle infielder with good potential to keep an eye on. At SS, Tanner has an active first step to create nice range, he shows soft hands, plays low through ball, and can make the tough athletic play. Furthermore, he has good arm extension and accuracy on his throws. To make Tanner an even better SS, he needs to use more legs on his throws and keep his eyes down when receiving the ground ball. At the plate, Reibenspies shows the ability to track the ball; he has a quick load, stays inside the ball, and throws the barrel nicely to create good line drive power. Suggestions for Tanner would be to widen his stance for more total body power, staying back and letting ball travel more, and getting on top and through the baseball.
