11/03/2013 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Tate is lean 2B that will graduate in 2014. Defensively, he utilizes his active feet well in squaring up ground balls and displays clean hands. He moves well laterally, displaying range but needs to play through balls, present hands out front, and improve foot quickness to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate with but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. For hitting grades to improve, he needs to work to work to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to load more and transfer weight properly through his lower half. Tate has abilities with a lot of room to improve.
