06/02/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Tayler continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities are near a pro level with pro level pop. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power 96 mph exit velocity driving to all parts of the field. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws (93 mph velocity) on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Tayler will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his athletic abilities and should be a 2019 draft pick.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Tayler is a strong athlete who continues to impress. With the bat, this LH swinger shows an athletic/balanced setup with fluid rhythm to load. Quick hands fire the barrel through the zone as he engages his lower 1/2 and drives the ball with pop. In the OF, he has smooth actions and picks out the GB hops well, as he gains ground and works in-line toward his target. He takes solid angles and tracks down fly-balls hit to the gaps. Exchange is smooth with strong/accurate throws into his target. Aguilar is a solid all-around prospect who has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

06/17/2016 - USA Baseball 17U Championships Tayler is a very talented LHH OF who has a ton of upside. He showed very well during his time at the UAS Baseball 17U Championships. As a hitter - this lefty stands in well with an athletic/balanced setup and fluid rhythm to load. He possesses confidence in the box and remains relaxed not matter the count or situation. hands are quick as he whips the barrel and drives the ball with power to the gaps (going 5 for 10 with two singles, two doubles, a triple and 5 walks). In the OF, he covers ground with speed. Actions are smooth as he gets good reads off of the bat. Transfer/exchange is clean as throws come from a long/loose/effortless arm action. Tayler was named Team MVP as he impressed both with his skill-set and his mental makeup. Aguilar is a skilled OF prospect who has a very bright future ahead of him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
