03/18/2012 - College PREP - Bowie, MD Taylor is a tall, thin, 2-way player who will graduate in 2013. On the mound, Taylor has a long / loose arm action, a controlled balance point, and on-time separation. He keeps his shoulders level, his eyes on his target, and he lands in a square position. Mound effectiveness can get better with more glove side lead, bending his back more, and with added arm strength. In the OF, Taylor has an athletic approach, sure hands, and fluid feet. He takes good angles to the ball, makes plays, and his exchange is quick and clean. Taylor throws with a short arm action with average strength to his target. Loosening and strengthening his arm will help OF skills improve. At the plate, Taylor has an open stance, a still head, and average bat speed. He has a level swing, he makes contact, and he gets his lower 1/2 through the ball. An improved load, better timing, and improved barrel accuracy will help hitting numbers get better.
