07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Taylor showed nice overall improvements during his time in Pirate City. At 3B, Taylor has active feet, he fields in a square position, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He keeps his feet moving, his exchange is clean, and throws with consistency and momentum toward his target. On the mound, Taylor keeps his eyes on target, he has a clean arm circle, and gets good extension on his pitches. He has a controlled landing toward home plate and is around the zone with his pitches. At the plate, Taylor has a tall set-up, good balance, and he finds the barrel consistently. He showed the ability to make adjustments and has good patients at the plate.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
