08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Taylor continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. In the MIF, he continues to shine, displaying clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with zip (85 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 75-79 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. Taylor will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
