06/17/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Charleston, WV Tayte is a 2-way player (RHP/3B) who has a big/tall frame (6'1"/195). On the bump, he shows a solid mound presence as he gets to a tall/controlled balance point. He works downhill and in-line toward the plate with simple actions. FB ranges from 64-69 mph while breaking ball shows 10/4 shape. Changeup shows sink and compliments FB well. Defensively at 3B, Hutchinson works into a square fielding position and makes the plays. He fields the ball cleanly and works through the ball toward his target. At the plate, this RHH shows a balanced approach with patience as he lets the ball travel. He delivers the barrel with strength and shows pop to all fields. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
