09/24/2023 - National Showcase - Rosemont (Chicago), IL TD is a 5ft 8/160 switch hitting OF/SS in the 2024 class. In the OF, he plays with aggressive nature and takes great routes to the baseball. His feet are in sync with his body and stays directional through the baseball. His quick arm plays at 77 velo and is accurate to his target. On the dirt, he works from the ground up and funnels the baseball well. His exchanges are clean and gains a short and quick release to make on-line feeds. At the plate, his LH side is ahead of the RH side. He is balanced in both boxes and uses hips well from the left side. Creates line drive production and can use the whole field. Exit velo reached 83 from the left and 69 from the right. Scouts feel he should continue to be versatile at the plate and see where switch hitting can take him.

08/03/2023 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament (HS) TD is an athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick (82 mph velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard on the field. TD has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
