02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Teagen is an athletic/talented (5'8"/150) OF prospect in the 2024 class that plays the game with a lot of energy. In the OF, he shows quick/athletic footwork allowing him to move well, using his agility to track down balls. He uses smooth actions to field the ball on time, using a relaxed glove to create a clean exchange. Release is quick and throws are accurate from a high 3/4 arm slot. At the plate, this RHH takes the box with a square/balanced setup. He excels at creating hard, consistent contact while keeping his barrel through the zone. With time to grow and develop, Teagen has the tools to become a top prospect in his class. We look forward to watching his compete at future events.

07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Teagen is a lean OF who will graduate in 2024. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an aggressive approach. Hands are quick, and work through level swing path. He makes consistent contact, showing a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. With 4 years to further develop, Teagen has potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

01/20/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Omaha, NE Teagen is a tall, 2-way player with good athleticism. In the OF, Teagen has active feet, he fields aggressively, and makes plays on balls hit his way. He has a clean exchange and a short/accurate arm with momentum to his cut off man. In the INF, Teagen has soft hands, a low fielding position, and he moves with agility to the baseball. He centers the ball well on his body, fields out in front, and has a high 3/4 arm slot to 1st base. At the plate, this RHH has a square/crouched stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He loads well, has fast bat speed, and he makes consistent contact gap to gap. Solid overall skills can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
