Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/3BPosition Projection

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Teryn is an athletic RHP/2B in the class of 2026. In the infield, he fields the ball in a low and athletic position. He has a clean loose arm that produces throws that are accurate and have carry. On the mound, he operates with a three pitch mix. His strong arm can get his FB upwards of 72 velo. His CB is 51 with 11/5 shape. His CH hovers around 46-53 with sinking action. Once he develops leg strength his will be able to repeat his mechanics consistently and use his whole body. At the plate, he has great starting points to become an elite hitter. He understands the load phase well and has solid hand separation. He allows the ball to travel and can use the backside of the field based upon pitch location. Teryn is a solid prospect in the class of 2026.

11/03/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Wilsonville (Portland), OR Teryn is an athletic, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and RHP. Defensively, Teryn has active feet, agile movements to the ball, and he fields athletically. He has good range, firm hands, and a quick exchange with accuracy to his target. On the mound, this RHP has good balance over the rubber and a clean arm circle. He separates his hands on time, lands with good direction toward home, and finishes in a complete position. At the plate, Teryn has a square stance, a short stride, and he can spray the ball to all fields. He makes consistent contact and rotates his hips through. Overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
