09/20/2023 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2025) Theodore is an athletic switch hitting 6ft 7/210 3B/RHP in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts with his frame and ability to play at a high level. In the field, he balls on the balls of his feet and moves with agility. Has a quick 1st step and works well to both arm and glove side. Fields out in front of his body and his redirection of the baseball is quick and clean. Gains a high 3 qtr slot and is 86 across the diamond. On the mound, he has a great presence and is control of his delivery. He operates with a 3-pitch mix from an over-the-top release. His FB touched 83 and cuts into the zone. His CB shaped at 11-5 and maintaining FB arm speed will provide a sharper break. His CH is developing and with playing catch with his CH grip will increase the feel out of the hand. At the plate, he shows pure power from each side. Can drive the baseball into the gaps from a controlled swing and proper balance. Gains excellent separation and hands are explosive at 93. Overall, Theodore has a bright future and scouts can not wait to see him take his game to another level.

06/04/2023 - National Showcase - Thousand Oaks, CA Theodore is an athletic SS/RHP who is a prospect at the on the diamond. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with near pro level abilities from both sides. Hands are quick (95 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are firm and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (86 mph velocity) to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 77-79 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. With 2 years to further develop, Theodore has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
