12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Thomas is an athletic 3B/RHP, who showed a great passion for the game and that he is coachable and willing to learn. Defensively, he read the ball off the bat immediately and worked to the spot the ball was hit with fluid and active feet; lateral range was a big plus. Hips were low to field, which allowed him to present his hands out in front. Arm played very well for the position, as he made a clean exchange after fielding the ball and threw across the diamond quickly and accurately. Offensively, he showed an aggressive but under control approach. Hands were loaded on time, and worked on a direct path to the ball very quickly (86 mph exit velocity). On the hill, he featured 3 pitches from a 3/4 arm angle, including a fastball that sat in the mid 70's, a 10-4 curveball with late break and a changeup that was thrown with fastball arm speed and was very deceptive to hitters. Overall, Thomas has a high ceiling in this game and will get an opportunity to play at the next level with continued hard work and refinement of his game.
