12/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 Thomas is a young 2022 1B/OF prospect with tremendous upside and continues to show off his arm strength at both positions. At 1B, Thomas positions himself well, works behind the ball, and gets into a good position to receive throws. If he continues to work on his active pre pitch movement, and agility drills, he will improve his overall range at 1B. At the plate, Thomas ended the week 3 for 6 with 5 quality AB's. Thomas has an athletic stance, uses his lower half, and continues to display signs of power to all fields. If he continues backing the ball up and attacking this inside part of the ball he will increase his overall ability as a hitter. Thomas is a good young player and will continue to increase his abilities with hard work and physical maturity.

08/08/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Thomas is a 1B/OF who will graduate in 2022. At 1B, he displays a smooth backhand glove with a clean exchange to throw. He makes the plays and fires accurately to his target. In the OF, he is active on his feet as he tracks down hard hit fly balls. He fields the ball clean and plays through to his target. At the plate, this RHH has a solid setup. He shows rhythm in his swing and drives pitches with power in his bat. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
