09/15/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Timmy is an outstanding young LHP prospect with a clean, quick arm. He has a durable, athletic frame and a repeatable delivery in which he loads over his back leg and works into a coordinated release. His fastball touched 90 mph at the UA BF Futures event in Florida and it appears to have some late life both to the naked eye and in how the hitters reacted to it. Timmy throws his fastball to both sides of the plate and seems very comfortable running it into right-handed hitters. He complemented his FB with a curve that he landed regularly for strikes. That pitch had tight rotation and good bite resulting in a good bit of swing-and-misses. Timmy is a competitor and a strike thrower - two great traits to have on the mound, and when combined with good stuff make him the kind of pitcher you want to have the ball in big games.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
