Official Scouting Report

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Timothy is an athletic and talented 2025 2-way prospect that was eager to learn. Behind the dish, Timothy shows good leadership skills and is always in the game. When throwing he has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws. When blocking, he needs to lead with his glove and control the ball with his chest. When receiving, he needs to continue to be in a balance primary stance, present a low/early target, and work behind the ball to catch it consistently in the pocket. At the plate, Timothy starts in an athletic stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. Hes aggressive on the fastball, he sees the ball deep, and he keeps the barrel on plane. On the bump, Timothy gathers over the rubber, he separates on time, and has a loose arm action. He shows confidence in his fastball and rides his back leg toward the plate. Timothy will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/11/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Springfield, OR Timothy is an athletic, 2-way player who catches and pitches. Behind the plate, Timothy has firm hands, efficient footwork, and he sits in squarely. He holds a low target, gains ground, and throws with pop times as low as 3.38 seconds to 2nd base. On the mound, this RHP has a clean arm circle, he keeps his eyes on target, and he gets good extension on his pitches. At the plate, Timothy has a tall stance, he loads his hands well, and he hits line drives. He swings on plane, makes hard contact, and he taps into some lower body. Overall abilities can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
