12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Timothy continues to shine in his baseball abilities at the Recruiting Classic. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.45 range with accuracy to his target. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front and utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/11/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Timothy continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.35 with accuracy / carry (80 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a tall setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 70 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/17/2022 - Baseball Factory Los Angeles All Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Timothy continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the All-Star Classic. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.45 range with accuracy / carry (80 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and has great knowledge of the game. He works hard on the field with a lot of energy.

11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Timothy is a 2025 C who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Select Training and Competition. Behind the plate, he continues to improve in all facets of his game. Foot speed, arm speed, and overall athleticism have seen major jumps. He tries to work his thumb under baseball keeping balls in the zone. Throws from a 3/4 release point and an arm velocity up to 73mph and his best pop time of a 2.45 seconds. His throws were accurate and on-line to second base. Timothy is competitive kid who plays with good energy. At the plate, he hits from a tall and even stance with a high hand set. He showed a small/simple hand load with fluid timing to his swing. Hits into a firm front side with a compact swing. Hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. During the games, he proved to be a tough out and made hard contact. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Timothy making huge strides on the baseball field.

07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Timothy is a C/OF in the graduating class of 2025. He shows off good athleticism and foot speed for his age. Behind the plate, he continues to show improvement and athleticism. Created momentum towards 2B on throws and was able to make accurate and on time throws, lowest pop time was 2.52 seconds. Shows good blocking fundamentals although late at times. Received the baseball well and showed feel for the strike zone. At the plate, we saw big time improvements in his exit velocity which was up 6mph since the last time we saw him. Hits from a tall and open stance with a good load to activate his lower 1/2. Showed an advanced approach with a line drive focus. In game action he was able to record a hit and reach base an additional 3 times along with multiple hard hit balls. Timothy is a young prospect with a bright future that we are excited to see again in the future.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Timothy is a C prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. Behind the plate, Timothy shows efficient footwork and takes good angles when blocking. He receives with a firm glove and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half, spraying the ball to all fields. With five more years to develop, Timothy has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Timothy is an athletic and talented 2025 2-way prospect that was eager to learn. Behind the dish, Timothy shows good leadership skills and is always in the game. When throwing he has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws. When blocking, he needs to lead with his glove and control the ball with his chest. When receiving, he needs to continue to be in a balance primary stance, present a low/early target, and work behind the ball to catch it consistently in the pocket. At the plate, Timothy starts in an athletic stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He’s aggressive on the fastball, he sees the ball deep, and he keeps the barrel on plane. On the bump, Timothy gathers over the rubber, he separates on time, and has a loose arm action. He shows confidence in his fastball and rides his back leg toward the plate. Timothy will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/11/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Springfield, OR Timothy is an athletic, 2-way player who catches and pitches. Behind the plate, Timothy has firm hands, efficient footwork, and he sits in squarely. He holds a low target, gains ground, and throws with pop times as low as 3.38 seconds to 2nd base. On the mound, this RHP has a clean arm circle, he keeps his eyes on target, and he gets good extension on his pitches. At the plate, Timothy has a tall stance, he loads his hands well, and he hits line drives. He swings on plane, makes hard contact, and he taps into some lower body. Overall abilities can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
