12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) TJ is an athletic built LHP/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set. On the mound, TJ has a confident presence and competes on every pitch. He starts square on the rubber with a simple starter step. He has balanced, fluid mechanics and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. TJ can benefit from a longer stride and a full finish. He stays in line to home plate with the proper stride length. TJ shows sink movement on his fastball and a sharp breaking curveball. In the field, TJ plays the position athletically and makes all the routine plays. He moves with agile actions and covers good ground. TJ presents his glove and works through the baseball. He has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action. TJ throws from an over the top arm slot and can benefit from added arm strength. Offensively, TJ has a tall, open setup with a firm front side. He has loose, comfortable hands with good rhythm and a centered balance. TJ shows an on-plane swing path and engages his lower half. He does a nice job coordinating his hips with his hands. TJ shows the ability to go with the ball to the opposite field. Overall, TJ has the right approach and potential to advance his skills with development.

07/24/2018 - College PREP - Rindge, NH TJ is a hardworking LHP/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set. On the mound, TJ has a balanced delivery and he keeps his eyes on his target. He has an on-time separation and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. TJ has a clean arm action and extends through his release. He stays square to home plate with a controlled landing. TJ does a nice job using his lower half and finishing his with his chest over his front knee. His mechanics are repeatable and compact. His curveball has tight break and his changeup is developing. In the field, TJ plays with active footwork and an aggressive approach. He fields the ball in a high position with deep hands. TJ has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from an over the top arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing consistently online throws. As a left-handed hitter, TJ has a tall setup with a centered balance. He has a load with a long stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. He stays inside the baseball and his backside stays engaged. TJ lands the barrel to the baseball producing square contact. He is a line drive type hitter. Overall, TJ is a well-rounded prospect who can impact the game in multiple areas.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
