01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Tom is a 2023 outfielder out of Floral Park, NY that will continue to blossom over the this next year before playing at the collegiate level. He brings good energy to the field and loves to play the game. In the outfield he has good awareness and takes good routes to the ball. With the ability to stay behind the ball as he gets stronger his arm strength will begin to translate into the momentum of the throw. Offensively, he makes consistent contact and has a line-drive type of approach. He keeps a direct path that gives him promising upside to tick up in bat speed.

09/22/2021 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Tom continues to showcase his baseball tools at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through, creating momentum to his target. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power (83 mph exit velocity) driving to all parts of the field. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) This athletic LHH OF continues to show well every time that we see him. Offensively, this lefty steps into the box with athletic actions and active hands to load. He whips the barrel quickly to and through the zone on a short/direct path as he connects and drives the bat on a line. He is quick out of the box and down the 1B line, putting a ton of pressure on the defense. He has a great eye for the zone and doesn't swing at much that he cannot handle (drawing 3 walks in 5 AB's). In the OF, a quick first step with good angles put himself into a great position behind the fly-ball. He secures it with soft hands, gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. Only a 2023 grad - the future looks very bright for Bressmer.

12/12/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Tom is an athletic OF/3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Tom shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he works to make accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Tom build up his arm strength. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to strong line drives. Tom can barrel up more baseballs by taking a square stride toward the pitcher. Overall, Tom is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/23/2020 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Tommy continues to show well on the diamond and did so again at the Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, at 7.27. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays fluid/athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength. At the plate, he's a leadoff type with a knack to battle, sees pitches and gets the barrel on the ball. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

08/20/2020 - Summer Pro Training Experience - NY (HS) Tom continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He has good energy and works hard day in and day out. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities are above average as he displays smooth/fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved, showing well above average through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Tom has a solid all-around skill-set with upside.

12/08/2019 - College PREP - Nyack (NYC), NY Tom continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a closed setup. He has good rhythm with quick hands that work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

10/16/2019 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Tom continues to shine on the baseball diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. In the OF, he displays smooth/clean actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/18/2019 - College PREP - Uniondale (Long Island), NY Tom is an athletic OF prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Tom shows efficient footwork and takes good routes to the ball. He makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Tom improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side, leading to solid contact to the opposite field. Tom can improve as a hitter by taking a more level swing path. With four more years to develop, Tom has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
