01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Tommy is an athletic (6'0"/160) switch hitting SS who projects well. Defensively, he has quick/active footwork moving fluidly from right to left around the GB. He moves lightly on the balls of his feet, has plus lateral range, and funnels smoothly. At the plate, he currently shows slightly better as a lefty. He stands in well with athletic actions and centered balance. He whips the barrel through a level path with speed and connects with power (exit velocity = 91 mph). He gets out of the box and down the 1B with speed - putting pressure on the defense. A 2017 grad - Bell possesses the tools that will play at a very high level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
