09/15/2019 - College PREP - Moosic (Scranton), PA Tommy showed very well defensively at both positions during his last workout with The Factory. At 1st base, Tommy has fluid feet, agile movements, and a presentable glove. He fields squarely, makes plays consistently, and has a loose/accurate arm to his target. Gaining more ground can only help INF skills get better. Behind the plate, Tommy sits in easy, footwork is fluid, and hands are soft. He covers the 5 hole when blocking, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a short/accurate arm to 2nd base. Offensively, Tommy stands in well balanced and swings in good rhythm. He has a consistent/direct barrel and he uses his lower body. Letting the ball travel deeper and adding arm strength can help hitting spike.

09/16/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Moosic (Scranton), PA Tommy continues to develop and work hard on his skills. With the bat, this righty stands in with patience as he tracks pitches into the zone. He takes an absolute hack and looks to do damage. He barrels the ball up and drives it to his pull-side. Even more power potential is there with more use of his lower 1/2. Behind the dish, he sits in well and tracks pitches into his mitt. Transfer/exchange is clean with accurate throws down to 2B. Pop times remain in the 2.3's. Times will continue to drop as he works to stay low to throw and gain more ground. At 1B, Tommy works hard to get into an athletic and square fielding position behind the GB. He tracks the ball into his mitt and gathers well. Presenting his glove earlier and more out in front will help to 'sure' up his hands. Only a 2022 grad, Rohan has tools with still a ton of time to progress.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Tommy is a tall and athletic 2023 catching prospect that is very coachable and eager to learn. Behind the dish, Tommy presents a low target and has a balanced set up. He has a clean exchange, a quick release, and makes accurate throws. Continuing to lead with his glove and dropping to both knees to block will allow him to control balls with his chest. At the plate, Tommy starts in a slightly open stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He uses his lower half, keeps a quiet head, and hits the ball to all fields. Continuing to get his front foot down on time, attacking the inside part of the ball, and staying balanced through contact will allow him to drive the ball gap to gap. Tommy will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

09/24/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Scranton, PA Tommy is a R/R (2023-grad) at C/3B. Defensively behind the plate, he tracks pitches well into his glove. He gives a solid target and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. At 3B, he moves well laterally as he works into a square fielding position on GB's. He gets rid of the ball clean and makes accurate throws to his target. As a hitter, Tommy shows a square setup with balance. He swings on a short/direct path through the zone and creates consistent contact with each pitch. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Prep step
2. Lateral quickness
3. Develop soft hands
Catching
1. Low setup
2. Stick pitches
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Improve bat speed
3. Lower 1/2 drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
