01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Tony is a solid OF/2B in the 2023 class. In the field, his feet work well and he works to get behind the baseball. Moves forward and through the ball well with athletic actions and his exchanges are clean. Releases from a high ¾ slot and working to quicken his release will help prevent the free 90. At the plate, he has an athletic set-up and a squared stride. Likes to use the middle of the field approach with a short and simple barrel path. Shows to be a high contact rate player with an aggressive mindset. Overall, Tony is a next level player.

09/02/2022 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) with Video Showcase Tony continues to show improvements with his baseball abilities at the All-Region tournament. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.72 runner. In the OF, he displays fluid / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Tony is an OF in the class of 2023 who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Select Training and Competition. In the outfield, Tony was relaxed and had smooth/effective footwork. Took good angles to the ball. Fielded the ball out front and made the routine plays. Tony threw from a 3/4 arm slot with a raw velo of 73. With continued repetition he will continue to gain range and mobility. At the plate, the left-handed hitter had a tall/open stance. He had a strong barrel and was able to hit the low pitch extremely well. Was 3-6 in the live game with a 1B, 2B, and HR as well as a pair of RBIs. Tony also showed pull side power and his ability to run the bases. With more time for growth and maturity, we expect Tony to continue to progress on the baseball field.

03/14/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Fresno, CA Tony continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.04 runner. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Hitting grades will improve as he gets stride foot down sooner to work on time.

06/14/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Visalia, CA Tony is an OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Tony makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Tony improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He leads well with his lower half and takes a short swing, producing consistent contact to all fields. Tony can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. Overall, Tony is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/10/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Fresno, CA Tony is a (5'1"/100) OF. Defensively in the OF, he hustles hard laterally as he tracks down fly balls. He tries to work behind the fly ball and makes aggressive throws to his target. With the stick, this lefty is a contact hitter. He takes aggressive hacks through the zone and looks to drive pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
