08/24/2013 - Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory Like Grant Holmes, Touki also touched 95 with his fastball this outing. He goes about it in a different way however, with more arm speed and looseness than the power type stuff we see from Holmes. At times, Touki will show "video game" or "electric" type stuff. We just don't normally see that life and depth in real life that often, he is truly a special talent. His breaking ball has 11 to 5 shape in the mid 70s, with knee buckling depth - it is one of the better breaking balls in the entire class. He also threw a cutter or slider 85-87, and sat in the low 90s with his fastball. He walked one and allowed no runs in a scoreless first inning of work.

09/22/2012 - 2012 Team One Futures Series East Dany is a tall, lanky RHP with a solid pitcher's frame that will graduate in 2014 and has pro abilities on the mound. Delivery is outstanding, displaying repeatable / sound mechanics that allows his arm action to work quickly and freely to the plate. He hides the ball well through a strong balance point. Arm strength is at a pro level as he topped out at 93 mph. Fastball shows a range of 89-93 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp break and late depth. Pitch will get outs at all levels. Command / control are tremendous as he throws strikes with all his pitches and attacks hitters, changing speeds well. With 2 years to further develop, Toussaint has the makings to be a top 2014 draft guy.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
