08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Tre'en is a thin and athletic 2019 2-way prospect. He worked hard and was eager to learn throughout the week at Pirate City. In the OF, Tre'en is on time with his prep step and makes accurate throws. Continuing to anticipate the ball off the bat and working on his first step will improve his route efficiency. At the plate, Tre'en starts in an open stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and has a direct swing path. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and create back hip rotation. Getting his front foot down on time and hunting the fastball will allow him help his pitch recognition. On the bump, Tre'en gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a loose arm action. He sits 74-77 with his fastball, has a 10-4 break on his curveball, and has fastball arm speed with his changeup. He needs to continue to work north to south and finish over the front side. Tre'en will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
