Official Scouting Report

  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Trent is an 6ft 2/ 180 and athletic 3B/RHP in the 2026 class. He recently performed well at the AZ Recruiting Classic and improved in several areas since the last time we have seen him. In the field, he has a relaxed feel and shows excellent hands. The ball sticks to the pocket and he redirects with clean actions. Gains a high 3 qtr. slot to create a loose and accurate arm at 80 velo. Working to eliminate steps from field to release will allow him to compete with the green runners as he advances. On the mound, he competes with a 3-pitch mix. His FB sat 74-6 with tailing actions. His SL shaped at 11-5 with solid break at 63-4. His CH shows run and deception at 60-5. At the plate, he had a solid week. He registered 6 qualities in 7 chances (4 BB’s, 1 1B, 2 SB, and 2 RBI” s). He begins in a tall stance and stays balanced in all phases of his swing. Has excellent bat to ball skills and when he fills out, he can become a force at the plate. Overall, Trent is on the right path to becoming a solid 2026 prospect.

08/26/2023 - National Showcase - Spokane, WA Trent is a RHP/3B prospect who will graduate in 2026. Tall frame lean build with strength present and room to add throughout. On the mound, he has long levers and a projectable frame. He has a simple/repeatable delivery and works with good direction down the mound. He attacks hitters with his FB that topped out at 73mph with plus command, a 10/4 shaped slider that flashes good depth, and a changeup with good sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen session. In the infield, has a good prep step, with active/efficient footwork, and he shows good lateral range. He works to center the baseball, with hands out front, and ability to pick out hops. He made on-line throws from multiple arm slots with an arm velocity up to 78mph across diamond. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an upright and open stance. Good hip turn enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph during his round of BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Trent having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
