10/06/2013 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Trent is a lean 2B/RHP that will graduate in 2015. Feet are active and as he works to square balls up and makes the routine plays, displaying clean hands. He needs to attack balls more, improve foot quickness, and present hands more out front to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate and gets rid of the baseball quickly but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Eastman shows a squared / balanced approach. Hands are loose and work through a short / level swing path. For grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to load more and use his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 69-72 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays short, sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with arm side run and sink. Off speed pitches show potential as being quality tools as he continues to improve. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength. With 2 years to further develop, Trent has abilities with time and room to continue to improve.
