Jeary continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest pop times to date at 2.00 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. He will control the running game with his feet and arm. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Receiving / blocking tools show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate he has improved his hitting abilities, now showing well above average with solid power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed through a compact / direct swing path. He works to stay inside the ball utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be.

Trent continues to show consistent ability as a two-way player - C/SS. Behind the dish, he centers the ball to receive with sure hands. He anticipates to block and deadens in front. Widening his base may offer greater athleticism and quicker actions. At short, he showed an ability to make plays with some natural feel. He flashed smooth actions with his backhand and had a quick release to throw. Offensively, he attacked the zone with his level path and was coordinated with his hips/hands. He has solid overall actions and displays good feel for hitting. In all - Trent remains as a projectable two-way guy that does best behind the dish.

Trent continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.12. Pop times shows in the range of 2.20. Throws are accuracy with pop times continuing to drop as he builds more arm strength as builds more arm strength through long program. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At SS, he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. He needs to work to attack balls more while presenting hands more out front to continue to improve defensive grade. At the plate, he shows a balanced approach with rhythm. He makes consistent contact with hands working through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with power numbers continuing to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Trent is a lanky C/SS that will graduate in 2015. Currently, he projects better defensively as a catcher for the next level. Foot speed is a solid as indicated by his 7.30 60 time. He utilizes his quick, athletic feet well as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed in the range of 2.15-2.30 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as more arm strength is developed. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At SS, feet are active as he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. Defensive grades will continue to improve as he works to play through balls and presents hands more out front more. At the plate, Jeary shows a balanced approach with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. Lower half works well through the swing with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to improve barrel accuracy. With 2 years to further develop, Trent has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
